Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024: What's Changed?
The updated version of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) will take effect on September 1, 2024. Ministers have decided that KCSIE 2024 will undergo technical changes only before final publication in September 2024, with a view to providing a more substantively updated document, encompassing wider changes, to be delivered in 2025. Many of the updates are intended to align KCSiE with the Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023 guidance.
Handsam will update all our policies and Quick Guides to reflect these changes.
The May 2024 (information only) version of the new guidance is available to download HERE. The final version comes into force in September 2024.
